WHO WE ARE

Toronto Internationally Educated Individuals Association (TIEIA) was founded by internationally educated professionals, researchers, and educators in 2017, and is registered as a Canadian not-for-profit organization. We broadly define internationally educated individuals as anyone who has received part of their education outside Canada.

TIEIA is dedicated to enhancing the integration experience of individuals  with international education backgrounds and their families by providing settlement support, learning opportunities, and pathways to meaningful employment. We also provide guidance, mentorship, and training opportunities for youth, helping them develop skills and gain valuable experience through volunteer engagement.

Our goal is to help newcomers and internationally educated individuals and their families succeed in their careers, education, and community life in Canada.

OUR IMPACT

Over the years, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic, TIEIA expanded its virtual programming and extended its reach to families across Canada, from British Columbia to Prince Edward Island. Today, we continue to offer virtual programs that improve accessibility for community members who face barriers to attending in-person activities, including mobility challenges, transportation limitations, and caregiving responsibilities.
